Donations sought for Community Outreach party

At least 200 children of prisoners, at-risk and needy children will be treated to a party, lunch and gifts as part of the project.
“Every day these kids are doing hard time along with their incarcerated parents,” ministry officials said in a news release. “They live in fear of becoming homeless and losing their homes to violence, crime, drugs and abuse.”
To help with the event, the ministry is hosting a Holiday Tea & Fashion Show from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at Gateway Church of the Nazarene.
The church is located at 25360 Jefferson Ave. in Murrieta.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $6.
Throughout the year, Community Outreach ministers to children in court-ordered youth diversion programs by helping to find them gardening and clean-up jobs to earn their community service credit hours.
The ministry’s year-round camping, mentoring and other outreach programs help the youngsters escape the burdens of their often-unstable home environments.
As a community resource center, the ministry also offers free emergency referrals to needy families.
To ensure that each child is served, the ministry is accepting donations to help with the costs of the luncheon, program and gifts. Tax-deductible receipts are provided for donations. To donate, contact Denise Ronzello of Murrieta Beauty Salon and Supplies at (951) 677-1379 or visit her shop at 25030 Hancock Ave.
